Digger is a climate movie. I also think it’s a great movie. I might even say “destined to become a cult classic.”
It has a lot of to say about about how climate change relates to art, politics, industry, families, and much more. And its creators made loads of interesting and lovely artistic choices.
In Digger, Hollywood has given all of us who care about the climate a fantastic conversation starter, and it would be a shame to squander the opportunity. I’ve already had some great discussions with a couple of friends about it. (Like how, in a key scene, different people keep tripping over the shovel without comment and without putting it away – it’s a great metaphor for our current fossil fuel use.)
So I recommend that you find a friend, go see the movie before it gets pulled from theaters, and get talking.
